Indiana, Fall 2022, Part 5 – Rustic Barn and Abandoned Home

Faded Red Barn

I first saw this old barn and a nearby abandoned house, while in route to another destination.  I came back a few days later to photograph these old, rustic buildings.

  1. Oh, I love theses subjects Ken! I’m glad you found all these great angles and compositions. If I were there you would have had a hard time pulling me away! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Denise. In this series of photos, I was constrained to shooting from the edge of a roadway. I would have like to have gotten in closer, but I would have had to trespass to do so. There was no one nearby to ask for permission to walk onto the property. In a previous post, I was able to get permission to walk around old barns and sheds to get up close and personal with my photography. Those shots were more like I prefer to get of such subjects. If you had been there, I would have been happy to see you take all the time you liked to shoot these subjects. I wish I had been here a few days earlier, before most of the fall leaves had fallen from the nearby trees.
